Welcome! We're so glad you decided to join this social network! Teachers and learners will find a wealth of resources and have the opportunity to share best practices for teaching students to effectively read, write, listen, speak, and think! This site was created so that literacy leaders around the world can:
- share research, resources, and ideas
- discuss current issues in literacy education
- improve literacy teaching and learning
This web site is maintained by Kristi Orcutt and Kelly Hartshorn (Literacy Specialists) at ESSDACK (Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas).
Resources and ideas have been shared by literacy leaders across Kansas and the United States. New resources to support effective literacy practices continue to be added regularly.
